Project Description: Admiralty Apartments is a historic three-story mixed-use building that is located near the Port Townsend Ferry Terminal. The building sits along the waterfront with a portion of the building extending over the water and supported by concrete piers. Broderick Architects was brought onto the project to lead the repair and structural reinforcement of the building, in particular the portion over the water. We were also tasked with refurbishing and renovating all of the apartments and common spaces, as well as minor exterior improvements that complement the building’s rich history. A new rooftop solar array will provide electricity for the building, and other building components will be improved to meet Washington State’s Evergreen Sustainable Development Standard.
